What can a Hugging Face organization name contain?

Hugging Face doesn't publish rules for usernames or organization names. Its Python library, huggingface_hub, checks names in repository IDs such as yourname/model.

How do you create a Hugging Face organization?

Sign up for a personal account, then use the New Organization form.

  1. Check the name above, with GitHub and the .com.
  2. Sign up for Hugging Face. You must be at least 13.
  3. Open the New Organization form at hf.co/organizations/new and enter the name.
  4. Add an organization card: a README.md in a public Space named README.[1, 3, 4, 9]
